Use has risen dramatically since 9/11
Dr. Ann Rogers' research on the military use of drones was featured in the Oct. 14 edition of the Nanaimo Daily News.
Rogers, an associate faculty member in the School of Communication & Culture and co-author Dr. John Hill explore the far-reaching consequences of drones in their book, Unmanned: Drone Warfare and Global Security.
The pair will present their findings in a talk entitled, The Rise of the Drones: from The Great War to Gaza, as part of Vancouver Island University's Arts and Humanities Colloquium series on Oct. 17 in the Malaspina Theatre in Building 310 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
