Ramadan Mubarak! (Happy Ramadan!)

May 15, 2018

Many members of the RRU community will be observing Ramadan over the next month. Ramadan takes place in the ninth month of the Muslim year. It is a period of fasting, reflection, charitable giving and family and connectedness. It is both a holy and celebratory time. Those who are fasting will not eat from sunrise to sunset. The end of Ramadan is marked by a celebratory feast known as Eid al-Fitr. The Diversity Action Group would like to encourage you to learn more about Ramadan and remind you to have consideration for those who may be fasting at this time. We also would like to remind everyone about RRU's multi-faith space (a quiet space dedicated for meditation or prayer), on the first floor of the Nixon Building. Ramadan Mubarak! (Happy Ramadan!)
