Blue Jays game conflicts with election night
School of Communication and Culture Associate Prof. David Black was interviewed by CTV Vancouver Island about the possibility of a decline in voter turnout due to the broadcast of the Toronto Blue Jays playoff game scheduled for election evening.

“We are a nation that multi-tasks very well - all kinds of things happen on election days including important baseball games,” says Black. “I think one of the particular benefits, apart from the healing opportunity allowed by the Blue Jays success, is that it intensifies our sense of ourselves as Canadians.”
